Do you have a windows.old file in the c: drive?

If you do use this and it will probably get rid

of the boot option. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/how-remove-windows-old-folder

In one of the OS, look at System Configuration (msconfig) (Start > type: msconfig), under the Boot tab. You should have the option to remove the other OS.

How did you upgrade to Windows 8.1, by the way?

what this guy said

go to msconfig

Linux "nerd".  If I helped you please like my post and maybe add me as a friend :)  ^_^!
