New build

Go to solution Solved by decidedlydead,

tbh I don’t see anything wrong with this first list.
I would recommend buying before the 50 series is out, gpus WILL be really expensive after. I saw a 4070 on eBay for $400 so if your willing to go used y ok could probably squeeze 30-40% more out.

Budget (including currency):

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Satisfactory, Rift Breaker, Fallout 4, maybe CyberPunk 2077...

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Every time I build a new pc I feel like I'm starting over in knowledge base. This is my 4th build and again I feel like a newbie, lol. This build is for gaming only. I like to play games like Planet Crafter, Satisfactory, Rift Breaker, Fallout 4, etc....

This is my current build; https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PjGJJM . And this is my potential build; https://pcpartpicker.com/user/DeskTopBro/saved/d8tKcf (I'll figure out fans and what to reuse/sell later). I'm looking for an all around upgrade. Also, the GPU will eventually be a 5080.

  • Is there better; Motherboard, CPU, Ram, Memory?

  • When I say better, I mean given the speed, is there better for cheaper or more reliable if there's a known issue.

Any other changes like optimal fans, etc... I'll worry about later. I won't be overclocking ever. And if it's important, here's a link to the new parts mixed with the old, which is what I'll do if I can, though I'm not sure the cpu fan will work. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Nssxfd
