Budget (including currency): 400

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Deep rock galactic, marvel rivals, snowrunner, some more demanding games once in a while

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Currently running a Ryzen 3600 and 2060 super. Just upgraded my monitor from 1080p144 to 1440p180 ultrawide and have noticed a significant dip in performance. Last upgrade was 2020 (right before gpu inflation was out of control). Planning to upgrade to 5700X3D, it just seems like the best choice for AM4. Need help picking a gpu. RIght now, it seems like 4060/4060Ti or the B580 are my best options, but ive been out of the loop on current parts, so i need some help.

Thank you

At this price range I would be looking at the 7700 XT.

Hey. So those gpus are in the range of 300 dollars if you know where to look for them or if you can get them brand new. Out of those I would definetly recommend the b580 because it has more vram and is ever so slightly faster than the 4060 and slower than 4060ti. Because you have the budget for it I would probably go for the b580 unless you can snag a 4060ti for a good price, say like 380 to 400 dollars. Otherwise I do have to say that maybe dont immedietly jump to such high res monitors with such refresh rates. Although your pc will be able to handle it you will always have to balance the settings, especially if you ever decide to play demanding titles such as Elden Ring, Blackmyth Wukong. Those will bring even the 4060ti to its knees, litterally 60 fps in Blackmyth. Otherwise Good choice of cards, but someone closer to you might know better price to performance cards. I live in Germany. Here the 4060 is 300 euro. So is the b580.

Thank you

used 3080/6800xt or 3080ti/6950xt depending on pricing and you should be able to get the latter these days but it might be worth waiting for the b770 alongside the rx 9000 cards as they should be pretty decent value

for the new cards you can buy now theres the 7700xt and yeah pretty awful value relative to the used 6800xt/6950xt that demolishes it former usually being abit cheaper than the 7700xt
