Love all the pins

We typically get a magnet or two on trips. While visiting Universal last summer we couldn't find any magnets we liked, but we found some pins we liked. Cut the pin off the back flush, and epoxied magnets to the back. Now we have magnets for our fridge from the trip and honestly they are higher quality than a lot of magnets you buy.

Oh that's a cool idea as I got lots of extras of the pins from LTX and things like that like the screwdrivers

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I'll also mentioned, I did scuff up the backup of the magnet the best I could, as well of the pin where the magnet would be, just to give the epoxy a bit more to "bite to". Not sure if it was entirely necessary, but rather be overkill, than have something come apart.

Turn the pins into magnets:

But what if pin is more like this? I am having a hard time coming up with a not ugly solution. Maybe cut the needle and latch off and then sand the back and use epoxy to hold a centered magnet?

Something like that.  I'd use a piece of something in the middle for height, and then glue a small Neodymium magnet (or two) onto that part.
