The motor:

is now PWM compatible, allowing variable speed control thru the motherboard from 1300 to 4500 rpm.

your best bet is to jump the psu so it totally kill the power. if you use the PWM while filling a loop the pump will die unless you will be able to fill the res completely and never let it get low
