Building new pc

Go to solution Solved by Why_Me,

You want one set of RAM, not two sets so that you don't stress the memory controller. ATX 3.1 psu for these newer Nvidia cards due to the 12VHPWR cable/adapter.

Budget (including currency): Around $5000

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games like, Killing Floor 2-3(when it finally comes out) Rainbow Six Siege, Helldivers 2, CyberPunk 2077, as well as Blender and Unreal Engine 5.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dyQcxg  is the current list i have. No peripherals are needed.

I'm trying to build a pretty overkill pc that will last me for about 10 or so years. But I'm not really knowledgable on what's the best or second best for any parts. I plan on getting the 5090 if it actually works the way it's intended and doesn't just combust on itself or the pc because of the 600 watt usage but that could just be my ignorance talking. Thank you for any help

For gaming AMD's 3D V cache CPU's are a lot better (not only a lot more power efficient and cool in temps but also performing better)

Also, DDR4 will slightly tank that 14900K, and since you have the budget I'd get a ddr5 AMD system
