DRAM SDDs with known components

Which DRAM SDDs (PCIe Gen4x4 NVMe M.2 or SATA) with known components (controller and NAND) are currently available?

think pretty much all the well known drives or drives that have reviews already have known components and its only the stuff that doesnt have any reviews say the xg7000 or m482 that are unknown but those are both dramless

 

as for reccomendations probably stuff like the vortex redline, kc3000/renegade, firecuda 530(r), sn850(x), 990 pro, basically just get whatevers the cheapest thing that fills your criteria as the speed differences are not noticable and specifically for usually pricey drives like the 990 pro it might be more worth it to just jump straight to gen 5 say a t700/705 if you really need more speed

 

dunno why youd want specific components on an ssd though, afaik the speed differences are minimal and oc wise maybe might affect how far you can bclk without the ssd crapping out on you but thats a really niche case, not like ram where you can specify ic with just a partnumber and get it to clock really high as shown here albiet still pretty niche, but i could just be an outsider looking at a specific niche that i dont understand considering i do ram oc shenanigans and thats a niche almost noone really understands

I am actually asking about manufacturers that are not using their own components like NAND. At 2TB, I can get either ADATA LEGEND 960 MAX or KINGSTON FURY RENEGADE (without heatsink), but for the same price or less, I am not aware of any SATA with DRAM and known controller and NAND.

for sata yeah no dont think that info is even provided just because youd have to dissasemble the thing to even get a look at the components where nvme you just peel the sticker off

 

im guessing what you mean by manufacturers not using their own stuff is something like this where the controller just says wd proprietary?

I am only aware about Samsung making its own controllers, so what does proprietary mean for WD or anyone else?

Some manufacturers swap out parts after they had sent their SSD to reviewers. Sometimes the substitute is equal, sometimes not. Especially during COVID they ran out of parts and had to find alternatives. Samsung is vertically integrated (i.e. make all their own parts). So they don't rely on suppliers and can have access to parts when they need it. So, if you need peace of mind, buy Samsung and pay $20 more.

samsung also swapped nand and controller, without informing anyone, or changing model number. 
‚it’s hard to name someone that didn’t swap parts in ssd.

Yes, but not for inferior parts. Over the life if an SSD model there will be some changes. Hopefully not downgrades....
