I'm just familiar with windows 10 I've never installed windows 11 before and the wd black is a new drive but the Samsung is old and has some files on it but I have secure boot disabled

I'm going to be real honest I'm not sure what setting i changed but I finally got all my drives to show up and windows installed thank you all for the help I appreciate it very much!

I'm having difficulty trying to get my new m.2 drives to show up in the bios and as bootable drives when installing windows 10 any help would be appreciated i have a gigabyte z790 ud for a motherboard and its got the latest bios I just can't find the correct setting to enable the drives

What type of M.2 drives do you have? SATA? or PCIe?
I ask because your motherboard only supports PCIe M.2 drives.

M.2 is only a form factor. i.e. a drive can fit in an M.2 slot and not work at all if the motherboard doesn't support that protocol.

There is approximately a 117% chance I edited my post.

Ah, got it. Is this a completely new build? Do you have other drives in the PC?
What may be happening is Secure Boot may be enabled, and if you had Windows installed on another drive that is still in the PC, that is where the EFI partition resides. It can prevent you from booting to other devices depending on how everything is configured.

I would remove any other drives, delete all partitions on the new drives, and then re-install Windows.

Also, not relevant to your issue, but not sure why you're installing Windows 10 instead of Windows 11. I'd recommend using Windows 11 on a new build/motherboard/CPU like that. Intel especially.
