Hello,

 

I decided I've had enough of the lack of good games on PlayStation and decided to get into the world of PC gaming.  I haven't played a game on PC since StarCraft.  I've ordered most of the components but can't find a cpu or GPU in stock anywhere.  I've decided on the Ryzen 7 9800x3d paired with either the Asus Rog Strix 4080 Super or the TUF gaming 4080 Super.  I live in Canada and everywhere is sold out.  I've checked Newegg, Canada computers, Memory express and Best Buy.  Now I'm debating finding somewhere in the US that can ship to a shipping/receiving place near my closest border and driving to pick it up.

 

Is there anywhere within Canada I may have missed to buy these components?  Otherwise what is a good online retailer in the US that would ship?

Everywhere has the 9800X3D out of stock. IIRC AMD has said that there should be new shipments at the start of the year and the stock problems should be fixed, but who knows.

Hold off until late January or early February, then reassess. The next generation of GPUs from both AMD and Nvidia are right around the corner.

I considered that but those 50 series gpu's are going to be stupid expensive.

I did find a place that has a non OC version of the Strix in stock and an OC version of the TUF in stock.  Not sure which would be the better of the two
