slow ram?

Go to solution Solved by Cacao,

Don't worry, they are running fine. DDR = Double Data Rate, so you need to multiply that number by 2. 800 x 2 = 1600, that's what  your RAM is running at ;)

It doesn't work when you add more because you're essentially trying to overclock it. Just set the X.M.P profile in the bios and you're good to go.

Greetings....

i have an issue with my ram....

i have a

KINGSTON HX316C10F/4 4GB DDR3 1600MHZ HYPERX FURY BLUE SERIES

and a set of

G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL 4GB (2X2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 RIPJAWS DUAL CHANNEL KIT

they are both DDR3 and they can run at 1600

but in bios.... i cant set them right, if i put more than 800 mhz windows wont even load, blue screen right away.

can anyone tell me why is this happening? o__O
