Is GPU defective or not?

I tested my new GPU and as soon as it turns on it works then about 10-20 seconds later it stops working. So is it defective or not? I checked the power connection, tested it without the case and found out the gpu might be defective.

In what applications does it stop? 

Does it still perform the same? Are the fans just stopped? And most of all do you have an iGPU?

try it in another windows version, use dual windows tonot lose your data
