I have a gtx 760 exga sc edition  + some extra OC manually and a 4670k OC to 4.5ghz. For some reason I lag at any setting I put the game on, even low, when I should be able to run the game at ultra at around 40 fps, shouldn't I? The fps spikes are much worse when moving the camera or driving. It is unplayable and I don't know what to do.

2gb but at 1080p it shouldn't be making the game unplayable... It can't be THAT badly optimized, regardless of what the hate bandwagon is saying.

edit: even at medium textures I'm having fps issues.

Well you certainly shouldn't be able to run at 40 fps ultra, a titan struggles to do that.

its just a poorly optimised game, wait until a patch is released.

I have a GTX 760 too, I have the same performance. We just have to pray to lord GabeN that it is patched, and patched well. (I know he doesn't have control over anything at Ubisoft but worth a shot eh?)

a 780Ti barely handles ultra @ 60.

the game is poorly optimized.

That's just horrible... Not buying from them again if I can't run this game on an $800+ computer. Just silly.

Yeah. The whole of the interwebs is up in arms over it. Ubisoft need to get their shit together.

Yup very true, I get around 70 fps, and when I'm driving around I get huge FPS drops. Turning off AA, and dropping the textures to high makes it more playable...but I gave up on it, waiting for a patch

Of course it barely handles it as it only has 3GB of ram UNLESS you somehow got a kingpin 6GB edition.

Ultra is really recommended with 6GB of vram and only titan and titan blacks have that.

I have 2GB as well but can run the game WELL at 1440p and at high settings with hbao+-hgih.

I'd set the AA to TXAA 2x.

no, I'm sorry but there is no excuse for the bad performance in this game.

it doesn't even look THAT great.

I agree with you that the game is unoptimized, and actually doesn't look great at all until you get into 4K just look at 4K shots of the game, it's gorgeous!
