Hi, whats the safest way to use credit card online? i remember watching lots of sponsored videos where you can spoof your credit card numbers i just cannot remember them

any ideas?

There are tons, from using your own bank (Wells Fargo does this), credit card company (American Express does this), to 3rd party programs (Microsoft has a program for this), etc.

I use Wells Fargo for my Debit card online, and AMEX for my CC.

The only one I know of is Privacy.com but that links to your bank account but the virtual card numbers are unique and tied to a single merchant after initial purchase (if it's not a one time use card of course).

It will vary based on credit card provider, Amex has some virtual card numbers but says they're for single purchases not subscriptions

As mentioned most likely you already have a credit card that will do this by default. I have several that allow me to create multiple "virtual numbers." My opinion, don't involve another third party into this. It's just another source for your information to get leaked.

Credit cards generally have pretty good protections on them anyways. Unless you are doing something really weird, I'm not sure I would go through all this trouble. (Debit cards do not have the same protections.)

The sad part is most credit card companies do NOT offer this at all. You put in your regular credit card number and everything and that's stored and ripe for leaking. Because they offer good protection for fraud in a lot of cases I guess they assume that's just a cost of doing business for cancelling cards with fraud charges and whatnot.
