I want to pick a new gpu to go with my current setup that has a 3050rtx in it. I want to get more in the latest 40 series like a 4060 16gb or 4070 12gb but I dont know which is better for my situation. I dont really want to go with amd because they don't have CUDA cores and they won't work on reality capture. What do yall think I should buy?

Budget (including currency): 600$ for gpu

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: "reality capture" (software) (mabye) gaming like minecraft ray tracing, playstation exclusives like god of war. Mabye video recording too.

Other details: I currently have a 3050rtx 8gb, Intel i5-11KF, 32gb ddr4.

Are you in the USA, or using a currency equivalent?

Do you think it would be worth it to buy faster GPU so that your next need for an upgrade for GPU comes later?

I am thinking of buying a 7800xt 16gb since the prices are good for those. And the photogrammetry problem i can just find other software that dosnt require cuda cores from Nvidia

7800 XT is a good GPU, it's about ~7% faster than 4070 give or take,

for photogrammetry can't really help you though I found this 3 years old Reddit post as first Google result: https://www.reddit.com/r/photogrammetry/comments/oz2leg/software_for_amd_gpus/
