I consider myself fairly technically advanced but I’ve been out of the building game for over a decade and just have a few questions.
I’m currently bodging together a system from donated parts as my laptop kicked the bucket and I don’t have the funds to buy anything currently.

I was given an AMD phenom system but without any graphics card or storage. This was fine because I had a pair of XFX R9 390s given to me and could cannibalize the drives from the laptop. Unfortunately realized that I had already given the SATA SSD to a friend so I’m left with a 320GB mechanical hard drive and a nvme ssd. The board doesn’t natively support nvme but is there anyway to add it to the system?

Is it as simple as buying a pcie nvme carrier card or is there some sort of cpu limitation

You can put the nvme into a pcie adapter and use it as storage. However, you probably wont be able to boot from it without booting from a usb drive with clover to kickstart the process
