I have been in IT as an engineer, Network Technician and teacher since the days of DOS so I've been building pc's for a long time (The first one I built myself was a 486 so yea been a while) My last build has been evolving for some time and now is essentially a gaming pc. I am in the process of adding a 3rd screen which will be a bit of an unusual addition... The screen I'm adding will only be about 9inches as all I want it to do is act as a photo frame and clock when the computer is on.

The computer runs on Windows 11 (DO not get me started on that topic!) it has a 12gig 3060 and a 4gig 1050Ti from Nvidia in side so I have plenty of video capacity for it. The problem I'm having is that while I can set up and configure the screen easily enough to run as part of the windows environment. I can't find any free apps that I can use to run the photo frame part. I don't think I'm asking anything too complex. As an oldschool user, I tend to have the backgrounds of my screens a plain black (There used to be a reason for it back in the day but now I just prefer it) so I don't want to use the windows background changer as that sets everything and changes everything I just want the pictures to come up in the small screen or better yet, a section of the small screen so that I can have a clock on the other part. I've seen things like this on small screens inside the case before so I know it can be done, I just hope I can do it without having to re-program half an app (as programming is not my strongest suit)

Does anyone have anything they can suggest?

XnView is freeware for non-commercial use, and should be able to run a full-screen slideshow on a secondary monitor.

Why not get a digital picture frame?

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

Thanks, I'll try that.

Why not get a digital picture frame? well yes that would be a solution but where's the fun in it and how does it use up parts I've already got?
