Does a split keyboard like this even exist

Go to solution Solved by GarlicDeliverySystem,

There are some, but not easy to get: https://kriscables.com/lily58/ for example would fit as it has support for 'choc' switches (Kailh's type of low-profile) and is wireless. Downside is that you need to assemble it. As in, you literally get parts and often need to buy plates, controllers etc. separate or at the very least need to do the soldering.

Other similar projects exist, like the Corne or Sofle. Overall, this is a nice inside a niche inside a niche. So naturally, limited choice unless you want to develop yourself.

Hello, I am looking for a split keyboard with low profile switches and 2.4ghz (or some other low latency wireless connection) + Bluetooth connection so I can use it with my gaming PC as well as a work laptop.

Does anyone know if a keyboard like this exists? It looks like I can either get low profile switches or wireless, but not both.

I stared down the rabbit hole a bit this morning, from what I see the 2.4GHz will be challenging.

Mostly because those protocols are proprietary for the most part, so all the open source projects and small custom ones use BT (which also uses the 2.4GHz band). Otherwise they had to get into creating/programming their own protocols for the connection, which is usually far beyond the scope of small groups/individuals; the licensing for the software tools required alone is a huge hurdle, apparently.

So, I would try to either go with a neat cable+BT setup, or maybe with a KVM setup. At home I have all my peripherals going into my monitor with a built-in KVM, so on a single button press my "desk" switches between the gaming rig and work laptop. Laptop is connected just to USB-C on the monitor, plus maybe another one for power (that KVM only does ~30W or so, not enough).

It is not a solution if you want them side by side, but for quick transition between work and fun it works like a charm.
