Hi,

I'm looking for a new GPU.

I'm hoping to budget about £500.

I currently have a 1080 TI in a system with a i5-12400F and a 550w corsair psu. (Or if TV has taught me anything it might be a 550W hard drive)

I am asking for help because I'm a bit confused now, when looking at comparison sites and see the 6800 XT (£468) is more powerful than the 7800XT (£428), is that true? is one of those worth getting in my case?

In the picture attached I'd like to be above the 4k gaming at 60fps line, but is that practical at my budget?

I play a whole variety of games, many really don't need a powerful GPU, by any means, but I want to be able to go back through my list and play Hellblade with pretty settings, or not have the new dragon age chug even on lowest settings.

Please ask me questions if you need.

Thanks guys

The 7900XTX and the 4090 are out of the question with that PSU, even the 7900GRE is not going to run on that.

The Titan RTX is old, it would only have collector's value.

You need to get a 650W for a GRE and a 750W, at least, for an XTX.

Okay, thanks for the responses folk

I made a purchase, of a 7800 xt, at £455,

sadly the cheaper price I saw would have incurred import tax.

I did look at the 4070 super, but pc part picker suggested there might be a compatibility issue with power pin count, so I played it that bit safer.
