Hello,

 

I'm looking to upgrade my ram or my storage. When playing and doing some more multi tasking I only use 13gb of my 16gb ddr4 16gb 3200mhz ram. I'm not realy sure if I should upgrade. If I would would you say that its better to sell my current ram and buy ddr5 16gb 6000mhz or just buy another same kit of ddr4? And for the storage I only have 1TB and I do need more. What would you recommend for around 60e in Belgium? Thanks!

You'll most likely have to replace your motherboard to go from DDR4 to DDR5, and if you have an AM4 processor or anything Intel older than 12th gen, you'll have to replace that as well. It's not worth it.

 

Either add two more sticks of DDR4, or replace your 16 gig kit with a 32 gig kit (2x 16 GB DIMMs). If you only have a single 16 gig DIMM, adding a second one is all you need to do.

Buying another 16GB (2x8) is the cheapest and easiest upgrade, but this depends on how many slots you have and if the CPU is going to be happy with that.

 

As already said, you can't put DDR5 in a DDR4 motherboard, so that's out.
