Basically my PC froze yesterday on the log in page. After resetting the white light on my MSI motherboard turned on indicating the VGA. I first thought my pcie slot was broken so I tried my 970 I had hanging around and it worked

Then I thought my GPU died however it worked on my friend's PC so it wasn't the GPU either

I'm 99% sure it's the PSU, it's a C tier gigabyteP650B I've had it since 2020, it works with my 970 for now. I came across two PSUs around the 100 euro mark

Seasonic GM g12 750w

Corsair RM750e

I'm almost certain the seasonic is b tier and the Corsair a tier, is there any significant difference between the two other than the one is semi modular and the other full modular

This will also be a step for a GPU upgrade in the future (rtx4080)

Note: with hwinfo I found out that my CPU is exceeding power limits during heavy load however that could just be my Motherboard I'm not sure if that's a PSU problem as well but alas

Specs:

I7-10700f

RX6700XT

32GB ram

MSI B460 PRO

2hdds

1sata ssd

1nvme

The only major difference is how much power the 12v rails can hold for long periods of time without burning out

You can look at this PSU list for help.

I did I think I'm going to go with the Corsair one

With the power limits exceeded problem is it more of a Mobo problem than a PSU?
