Hello so i am having some issues with my network and wanted to ask if anybody in hear have a good idea what i can try to do

so the problem is i have 1gb connection to my pc and the pc is also showing with speed test that i get this speed in but for some reason internet pages are loading slow as in some take like 10 second some take like 1 minute to load
i run a 2060
ryzen 5 3600
16 gb of ram
i run on ethernet cable cat 6
so i know the hardware is not the issue even other people in the house is having these problems

so i tried resetting the fiber box
i tried switching the DNSs to multiple different ones
i tried using the wifi
i tried turning the fiber box on and off again
i tried switching ports of the cables
i tried turning off antivirus and firewall
ISP says the connection from them out to here goes through just fine

only problem isp is finding is that it shows as if we have 3 desktop to the network on ethernet but we only have 2 and one of them is going through the wifi box but only our switch is connected to the wifi box and its also showing the switch

and now im not sure what else i could try so thats why i now ask if anybody have anything else i maybe can check while my ISP is also looking into it

Have you tried a different DNS?

Also which websites are you testing with? Is it the same for all over the internet?

Never forget that when you have even a 10 Gbps network, if the server you are connecting is providing a slow connection, you have nothing to do with it.

As @CaiPott said, maybe try another DNS address.

The best way of doing this is within the web console of your ISP router but more often than not, they lock out that level of control.

Alternatively, go into the TCP/IPv4 settings on your network adapter and set the DNS server to something like 8.8.8.8 (Google's free DNS server) and see what happens. See snipping below. I have a Pi-Hole server on my network on 192.168.0.96 so that's why I have mine set to that. It will then fall back to my router at 192.168.0.1 if the server is unreachable.

Do all clients on your network exhibit slow web page loading (phones, laptops, other PCs) or is it just your PC?

Who owns and maintains the network infrastructure?

In the UK, the vast majority of the fibre network is installed and maintained by Openreach (Formally BT) with ISPs leasing space for their own customers.

My ISP is Sky and whenever I have an issue that doesn't appear to be related to anything internal to Sky, they punt it to Openreach who are pretty good at coming out to the property to give the cable and various boxes a good look over.

If its a similar setup in Denmark, you really need to ask Waoo to pass your issue onto the DNO (your version on Openreach). You might even be able to go straight to the top but I've tried that tack in the UK and they don't like that.

Unplug, literally, all other devices when not in use, and leave just the fiber box and router (usially does the wi-fi) connected.

Now, what device are you using for wi-fi, and how long have you had it?

Is there another wifi router you have in storage as a backup?  If not, then there is no clear way to test if the wi-fi router that is setup in front of the fober box may be the issue.

Try only connecting the fiber, wi-fi router, and connect just one single woreless device and test for fifteen minutes.

One by one, slowly add more wireless devices, every time testing for ten to fifteen minutes each time you add another device.

Windows 11 will just force business to "recycle" "obscolete" hardware.  Microsoft definitely isn't bothered by this at all, and seems to want hardware produced just a few years ago to be considered obsolete.  They have also not shown any interest nor has any other company in a similar financial position, to help increase tech recycling whatsoever.  Windows 12 might be cloud-based and be a monthly or yearly fee.

F-droid is a place to install open-source software for android, Antennapod, RethinkDNS, Fennec which is Firefox with about:config, lots of performance and other changes available, mozilla KB has a huge database of what most of the settings do.  Most software in the repository only requires Android 5 and 6!

I recommend firewall apps (blocks apps) and dns filters (redirect all dns requests on android, to your choice of dns, even if overridden).  RethinkDNS is my pick and I set it to use pi-hole, installed inside Ubuntu/Debian, which is inside Virtualbox, until I go to a website, nothing at all connects to any other server.  I also use NextDNS.io to do the same when away from home wi-fi or even cellular!  I can even tether from cellular to any device sharing via wi-fi, and block anything with dns set to NextDNS, regardless if the device allows changing dns.  This style of network filtration is being overridden by software updates on some devices, forcing a backup dns provuder, such as google dns, when built in dns requests are not connecting.  Without a complete firewall setup, dns redirection itself is no longer always effective.

the thing is it was not only the wifi but also the ethernet cable connection but i think we figured it out with the internet company it was that for some reason that it didn't like running nat type so they changed it to global something and now it works fine

Whatever that means.

If you go to

https://whatismyip.com

Do you have a globally-addressable IPv6 address?  Generally public IP are version 4 and use NAT for the local network, for devices inside the network

I would ask the ISP exactly what this setting means, and if it exposes a security risk.
