Budget (including currency): ~$2000 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Fusion 360

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I'm looking to build my first PC, and upgrade from an old Macbook Pro. I'll mainly be using it for video editing, graphic design, and 3D modeling, with a little gaming as well. After doing a little bit of research, this is the build I came up with:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/n2999C

I'd love to hear your opinion on it. I think it might be overkill for what I need, and if you have any ideas for how to reduce the cost (maybe by $200-400?) that would be appreciated. I would like to have it fairly future-proof though, and hopefully have this last 5-10 years with some upgrades along the way. Thanks!

This build is not less expensive but does offer much better Premiere Pro performance.

Really ?

I mean does that Intel have such an advantage in those loads, that future improvements on AM5 side don't count ?

Thanks for the feedback. Do you think the Core Ultra 7 265K provides a significant performance increase? From my research, it seemed like it handled Premiere a little better than the 9900x, but otherwise is about the same. I don't know if it would justify a $20 increase for the CPU and $70 for the motherboard.

Cudimm RAM is due to be released soon and that should make all the difference with Arrow Lake.
