Budget (including currency): 8,000 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:  3D modeling, 4k editing (Video, pictures), Gaming, coding and vms

Other details

My plan here is to buy on the fly as a build. Gonna be a 6 month process. My list is here on pcpartpicker

I just need some help figuring out what's the best for longevity. Go extreme and just cap graphics at 1440p gaming or do something else. also I put this list together from LTT, Jesus, and Jay's. First build so anything helps.

side note: Im willing to go AMD and Radeon. Also planning to install windows 11 and Debian and just choose which to boot in grub.

Buying parts over a 6 month timeframe isn't that great of an idea. I recommend you wait until you have the budget available to buy the parts all at the same time. Anything you buy now will be outdated in 6 months, plus all of the new GPUs and such should be out. Rather than buying piece by piece buy everything at once when you can, preferably when the new stuff comes out in the next few months.
