Youtube randomly opening

Go to solution Solved by sagebrush,

The next logical step is to check your Scheduled Tasks for instances of youtube, and failing that, reset chrome:

https://www.google.com/search?q=reset+chrome

After that, go into Task Manager and look for anything youtube or chrome related under Startup Apps and Disable it.

At the end of those things, and ONLY if it comes to it, you may consider Autoruns from SysInternals but it can be dangerous to use, so do a backup or system restore checkpoint before even downloading the program. In a similar vein you are looking for "Youtube" or chrome entries.  All local Scheduled tasks can be seen here as well in case there is another user on the machine.

So my youtube is opening itself for some obscure reason. This started yesterday, but i do not recall doing anything strange that could result in my browser opening youtube. Some data: I use Crome and i am logged into my account in crome and in youtube. I do have some browser extensions but none that should open youtube. i also do not have startup apps open. The only 2 things that i recall doing (and im pretty shure that they are not the reason, but imma still list it because you never know) are: 1, Uploading a 7gb video from my laptop to my onedrive and then downloading it on my pc which resulted in me not being able to do discord calls for 3 hours... 2, Trying to install vencord (the discord add on), but it didnt work so i deinstalled it again.

I have a coustom pc that has been doing quite some problems with stuff like my files and some license problems which results in me not being able to delete my Xbox game files that i dont need (but this has never been an issue and it has no impact on my browser...)

It always opens youtube when i open the browser and sometimes when i open a new tab. It gets worse when i am watching youtube. I only got one new youtube tab during the creation of this post and that was when i clicked on new post.

I know that RGB doesn't make my PC 10 times faster...but at least 2 times
