Trouble installing a flatpak

Hi I am relatively new ish to Linux (been using for a couple months but mostly web browsing so not much experience) but anyway I am using Debian on a thinkpad t490 I am trying to install Cozy (audiobook player) so I go to flathub and get the file I click “open with software install” it opens the window and then just says loading application details with a loading animation and it just does that forever and doesn’t do anything how do I do this properly?

Got an unable to locate package cozy

It turned out I didn’t have flatpak installed correctly all is good after setting up the guide posted before worked like a charm
