I am planning to do a new PC build with a donor GPU: Asus ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1060-O6G-GAMING.

Budget (including currency): 1500 EURO

Country: Bulgaria

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Some AAA Games on a decent settings (MAX 1080p (for now)).

Heavy use of Docker for development + multiple IDEs.

Basic Video editing with Davinci Resolve (or similar).

Browser heavy usage with more than 50+  constant tabs.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

List of "BASE" parts as follows:

Case: Corsair 3000D AIRFLOW Mid-Tower Case Black

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Tray

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Black 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30

PSU: ASUS TUF Gaming 1000W 80 Plus Gold PCIe 5.0, Fully Modular

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterAir MA612 Stealth

M.2 SSD: SAMSUNG 990 PRO 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe Gen 4.0 x4

GPU (the donor - not part of the budget): Asus ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1060-O6G-GAMING

Currently using dual monitor setup with MAX 1080p resolution on 60Hz refresh rate.

Ideally after new year and around when Nvidia starts selling 5000 series card (I expect the prices to go down for older models), I plan to add the following:

New GPU: ASUS TUF GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER OC 16GB GDDR6X

New Dual Monitor Setup: 2 monitors with no more than 144Hz refresh rate 2K (1440p) 24 or 27 inches (don't judge, don't like 4K :D) - I accept recommendations for quick response time monitors with the given or close parameters

PS: The budged do not include the new GPU and New Dual Monitor setup.

So, any recommendations, things to consider for specific listed items and with what I might change are welcome.

Edit: Forgot to say that I hate RGB 😅

Are you able to wait a bit? The 9800X3D is due to release next month, and the leaks are suggesting that it might have a not insignificant level of productivity performance uplift (a leaked Cinebench result from MSI showed a 28% uplift in Cinebench multicore) - so if you can wait, it could be worth it.

Yeah, I can wait, I am definitely not in a hurry.

If it comes in Bulgaria on a "normal" price range I might consider it.

I guess one challange is possible price of 9800x3D and the following unavailability of the 7800x3D, didn't they stop making 7800x3Ds completely?

Not sure, but if the leak price is correct for 499$ I can work with that price.

After all I am building this new PC so I won't need to build new one after 2 year, but still be able to enjoy some decent games. So if the price for the CPU increases with 100~150 euros it is fine.

I am more concerned for the GPU part 😅 as they (Nvidia) think that all people mine Bitcoin and need 4K Ultra settings on their games running on 140+ FPS.

I am old school, if it looks fine on 1080p, I am all in 😁

yeah, don't worry about GPU prices, the mining spree is long over, and they'd rather get the new GPUs rather than the discounted older ones anyway.

As far as price goes, MSRP price can be whatever it can be, in US pricing they don't add taxes to total price of product, so add about 20% to that prediction for more realistic outlook on the price.

I'd go with a Peerless Assassin 120. Half the price, slightly better performance

Might wanna look at some Tier A PSUs given the High spec gear you're putting in there

https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/

Speaking of Power, I assume you have a UPS to also protect this hardware

5950X/4090FE primary rig  |  1920X/1070Ti Unraid for dockers  |  200TB TrueNAS w/ 1:1 backup

I was also thinking first for the 1000W one, but then ended up finding out that mostly in full usage the total for CPU and GPU + base hdd, ssd, ram will be no more than 750~800W, and no other power hungry components will be used anyway.

Will look for that cooler to see if it is available here.

As for the UPS, no, the only UPS I have is for my NAS, and the power for the PC comes from a surge protected power strip.

Pearless Assassin (or SE) CPU cooler can not be found anywhere on the Bulgarian shops, so probably this one will be ordered from Amazon.

As for the PSU I think i will go with 1000W I listed, as suggested from @podkall it is ATX 3.0/3.1 compliant and it can give me some extra power if needed.

Any other suggestions and ideas are welcome.

There are more dual tower coolers to choose from, if you want you can try finding these in your shops:

ID-COOLING FROZN A620 PRO SE

Thermalright Phantom Spirit SE

Deepcool AG620

Thermalright Peerless Assassin MINI

Or 240mm AIOs, if not too expensive,

Thermalright Frozen Notte ARGB

or if you don't mind the CPU getting little warmer,

ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports DUO

ARCTIC Freezer 36

Well, as I amgoing to play some games, I will most likely go for CPU intensive work as well, so, no-no, definitely want it to be cool 😁

Will look over those suggestions as well, thank you !!!

Only the last two and the MINI are less thermally capable.
