hello guys here are some more components the project is based on the bequiet silent base 802 a case that I love, thanks to qìbe quiet for sending me these components...

the brand new aio light loop 360

as for the motherboard I bought a huananzhi X99 F8 these motherboards are sold with a processor already mounted, in my case it arrived with an intel xeon E8 2620 V3 with 6 cores and 12 threads at a speed of 2.40 ghz however needing a high number of cores I bought another one to replace an E5 2697 V3 12 cores 24 threads at 2.60 ghz the cost of these cpu are really negligible, I remind you that I am assembling and modding a workstation not a gaming pc, so don't turn up your nose..

the motherboard has 8 channels in dual channel my intention is to install 8 banks of 8 gb for a total of 64 gb, the F8 supports both ECC and NON ECC this is a great advantage.

2 top fans to further cool components.

I bring the case bare..

create a 90° angle and then using spa and 80 grit sandpaper, then finishing with 180 and 240 grit, I reconstruct the upper curve.

These panels will need to be drilled to have optimal airflow.

a hard job to do manually but in the end..

hello guys here I am again with the creation of the internal panel I base myself on the rounded shape of the frame.. let's go..

on straight parts I use the Japanese saw but for the hollow parts I have no choice I go with an electric fretsaw..

I want the edges to be smoothed, I'll take the rasp again...co..

I get myself some 5mm diameter rods that will fit into the holes already present in the case.

Hi guys, update on tests with the lower shelf completed.. some spacers will be added to the lower part to facilitate the air flow.

In the meantime, the new be quiet ìLIGHT WINGS LX fans have arrived which will replace the original ones in the case

and also the heat sinks for the SSDs... but we'll see them in detail later

finishing the internal panel using the holes in the case..

This panel is used to cover the holes for the 3.5" hard drive bays.

I'm getting ready to work on the right side.

these 3 panels will have to fit together perfectly..

as usual I complicated my life, I'm fine with that...

Hi guys, more photos of the case view with the front and rear panel finished, the panels, even if well sanded, still need to be finished with linseed oil

I had completed the psu cover panel but it still needs other attention, it must be raised a little to favor the airflow with the lower psu components and hard drives. I had inserted some pins in conjunction with holes already present in the case this to position the panel that otherwise would have danced inside the cabinet, I also add some magnets, even if small they are very powerful they screw on the piece, in this way the panel is raised as much as needed for the airflow.

this way the magnets keep it anchored to the case and it doesn't move. Test on a steel ruler.

Now it's time to take the right bulkhead that I had previously cut. Once the graphics have been studied always with the procedure used for the front panel, that is, design on PC, print on adhesive paper and then apply it to the piece.

I wanted to use a three-dimensional effect, I drilled holes of different diameters to create this illusion.

Central part still to be defined.

Here too I apply magnets, unlike the internal panel I apply them at the level of the panel, I make holes, I fix them with vinavil glue, once dry it is hard as cement. In this way the boards are applied to the bulkhead without using holes.

hello guys here I am again with further developments, in this step I will share with you the processing of the external panel that will cover the right bulkhead. These are the various sketches and ideas..

I have to take into account my manual skills, not having the possibility of using CNC or laser cutting even on behalf of third parties given the high costs, I evaluate some ideas, this will be a 0.8 mm aluminum plate that will be positioned on the central part of the wooden panel, I chose aluminum for 2 reasons, 1 easy and manual processing and lightness. chosen the graphics.

simulates a sort of elaborate grid with a central logo I design the panel with Adobe Illustrator with exact measurements and then print it on adhesive paper and apply it to the piece

after applying 6mm holes, do some electric fretwork..

a long and boring job but which I hope will give satisfactory results in the end

obviously it's all a bit imprecise and will need to be fixed with precision

but slowly... I don't want a shiny effect but a bit rough, I use 400 sandpaper and water..

but in the end..

This little job took me about 2 days of work

All this to complete my workstation.. let's go basic preparation

the lower base is screwed and with the addition of vinyl glue to the central pillar.

Preparation of the headphone stand, I took the correct curvature from the headphones, I glued 3 pieces of wood with vinyl glue and held them together with clamps for 4 hours, the result is a single block of wood that once worked you can't even see the joints

Gluing and fixing to the second base which will in turn be fixed to the central base.

I had this piece of aluminum left over, it was part of a Sharkoon case that I modded thicker than 1mm.

Paint is hard to remove, paint stripper makes it quicker...

Sandpaper 180 then 240 then 400 and finally 800 with water.

Fixing holes at the bottom base.

I added the tip to the base with another piece of leftover wood. To make the lines straight and at the right distance from each other I use a guide.

Fixed everything this is the central bracket.

I fix the base in aluminum.

I get another piece of aluminum to cover the fixing screws on the back and give more prominence to the structure, this is the result I hope you like it...

update: the case mounts 140 mm fans which, although excellent, I replace with the new LIGHT WINGS XL... the same ones but 120 mm are mounted on the liquid heatsink.
