Looks great, will be spending some time reading through the product page as it is my first time connecting a DAC/AMP. Thanks a lot

It's very straightforward.

Some terminology first:

A "soundcard" is basically a DAC/amplifier (speaker amplifier in this case). Basically everything has a soundcard. iPod? Laptop? Monitor? TV? yes.
DAC = device/chip that converts digital files to an analog signal

Pre-Amp = provides inputs, outputs, volume control, etc.
Amplifier = brings the analog signal to a listenable volume

The SMSL A50 Pro would ideally be connected to your laptop/desktop PC via USB cable. This offloads all of the digital audio to the device.

Then for outputting, you need to buy speaker wire which is just copper wire that connects the back of the A50 Pro to the back of the speakers. You will notice that they don't use normal connections; you need expose about 1/4-inch of copper wire and feed in to the posts. Then it screws down and crushes the wire and forms a connection. MAKE SURE IT DOES NOT clamp on the wire shielding since that's not conductive. You could also buy a wire with terminated banana plugs buts that's only if you want to frequently move your setup.

Hi, I was looking to connect some speakers to my laptop, possibly later to an actual desktop PC once I upgrade. I was eyeing the Edifier QR65 Bluetooth and the Edifier M60 Bluetooth. If anyone has any suggestions as to which I should be going with, please let me know, as this is my first time purchasing speakers. If anyone has any other recommendations please let me know, please also know I'm looking for these features:

  • White color for my setup.
  • Purchasing from Mexico so my selection might be limited when purchasing, mostly purchasing from Amazon but there are distributors that could potentially have things that Amazon doesn't have.
  • The budget cap is at around 500 dollars, but could go a bit higher.
  • I'm looking for a Bluetooth option but it isn't strictly necessary.
  • The laptop has a 1x 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and 1x Type-C USB 4

That is a very good budget lol. You can save your money and skips all of these budget computer speakers and get yourself real speakers. Literally, you can own these speakers for the rest of your life and still be happy about the audio quality.

I tell every internet stranger and all of my friends to buy these speakers. I have 3 different friends that are still happy with theirs nearly 10 years later.

KEF Q150 - the KEF Q1 Meta very recently announced, so now the Q150 can be reliably found on sale at a great price.

Now you need some budget integrated amplifier (DAC/speaker amplifier) like this SMSL A50 Pro.

I'm not a fan of bluetooth because I have issues with using it on my desktop.  Also from my phone I notice a substantial delay, so for gaming it's not great.

I agree with @saintlouisbagels and don't think I could pick a better selection.  I love both brands and have complete faith in their products.

Audio go Brrrrrr

Bluetooth isn't all that necessary for me, more so it is nice to have when I just want to play something from Spotify on my phone or things like that when I don't mind a delay specially if there is no video output to match.
In terms of the speakers, they seem great, I've been learning a lot from my first time setting up something like this and plan to get a subwoofer next.

Thanks a lot for the recommendation to both of you and also thanks a lot for the summary of what I would need to know @saintlouisbagels
