so i've looked at all of those component review, i wanted to know if XFX is a reliable brand for GPU. I'm also deciding whether to get 7900 GRE or 4070S instead for the same price. Is there anything else i can change for a better CPU/GPU but still around the same price?

I appreciate any help, thank you.

You're overpaying and underpaying. Doubt a student needs such a powerful CPU yet you're skimping out on storage, PSU and so on. Yes, XFX is a top brand. I've had it for years. Would buy again. In my top 3, which consists of Sapphire, XFX and Powercolor.

Consider something like this. Student workloads will cut like a warm knife through butter and have near $300 left over:

Consider the new 1TB as boot.

That PSU is meh, mainly just not right for you compared to what is out there.

Step back a CPU generation for savings without serious loss of performance.

Invest in a better PSU.

Air tower cooler is less expensive and. More reliable.

No need for thermal compound. New coolers come with compound.
