Hello guys

In October I will be starting my Computer Science degree and I decided to finally build my own computer as I currently only use a laptop atm and I hate working on laptops.

I know I don't really need a powerful computer for Computer Science but I do enjoy producing graphics and messing about with C4D and Photoshop. Also I will be gaming on it in my spare time so I thought lets just build a good looking and performing PC.

Here is where I need you guys, I have gathered a list with all the parts for my computer and I just need your thoughts of it and if I may run into compatibility issues e.g. push/pull h100i won't fit in the case with the given mobo etc.

List:

CPU - i7 4770K (will get 4790K if it comes out on 2nd of June)

Mobo - ROG Z97 Hero with Front base bundle

RAM - 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro (red) 2133

GPU - EVGA 780ti SC ACX

Cooler - H100i with red SP120's push/pull (purely for looks, potentially OC the cpu later on)

Case - Corsair 750D

SSD - Samsung 840 EVO 500GB

HDD - 2TB Seagate Barracuda

PSU - Corsair AX860

Monitor - 24" Asus VG248QE

Keyboard - Corsair K70 Cherry mx red

Mice - Corsair M65

Speakers - Corsair SP2500

Headphones - ROG Asus Orion

Fans - Replace the rear stock 750D with an AF140 red (exhaust), Mount the H100i at the top in push/pull config (exhaust), white corsair 120 led on the bottom next to the psu (intake), keep the stock front fans in 750D as intake.

LED's - NZXT white sleeved LED 200cm

Those are all the parts I have gathered and I think will look pretty good together. What do you guys think of this configuration? Will the h100i in push/pull fit in my 750D or will the Z97 Hero get in the way? what do you think of the white LED's, I was thinking to get red LED's instead.

Please feel free to leave your opinion and any suggestions.

Thank you for reading my thread.

Looks very good. Don't change anything. I say it, because lots of people, especially fanboys come and suggest worse parts than author has chosen.

Thanks can't wait to build this! Its good to get other peoples opinions. I will most likely keep it as it is with the potential upgrade of 4790K if it doesn't get delayed.

Looks good but I'd like to know what you budget for the pc alone is. Also what it is for the pheripherals alone.

well my budget would be around £2500 which I have currently hit including some other minor items which I didn't mention (mouse pad, hdmi/dvi cables, zip ties etc).

I wanted to get a large SSD to run most of the software on it and maybe some games that I will be playing frequently. I originally was planning to get the same SSD but 250GB version, I wasn't sure how much space I will have left and my budget allowed me to get the 500GB. Regarding the GPU I may get a second 780ti in the future but as of now I think 780ti will do me more than good and will perform alot better on games that are not SLI optimised.
