Hi, I have posted here before with a pc build, but after doing more research and asking other knowledgeable people for opinions I have updated my build, if you have anything to say please do, and my budget is £2000 and I'm planning on playing at 1440p at 144hz, on games like elden ring and cyber punk 2077.

That build is decent. But if you choose to get other parts that are at the same or equal in specs but better priced, you can get a 4080 super or 7900xtx and some change. In playing games, also consider if you like ray tracing, because if not, then get 7900xtx.

They said it was over kill for 2k gaming

That's ridiculous.  Will it be overkill for 1440p gaming in 2 years? 3 years? Nah.

I have a overclocked RTX 4080 and I feel its juust right for 1440p, I get good visuals with great framerate.  I do wish I had a bit more GPU power sometimes.
