Pixel 9 Bluetooth issue

Go to solution Solved by jolmar,

Welp. little update,

I scrolled trought settings all evening trying to see any possible combination that would make my earbuds work. What ended up (it seems?) working is deactivating LE audio option, but NOT IN THE MAIN SETTINGS. What i tried previously was turning it off from the main bluetooth settings, this time i did it from developer mode (it required a restart).
I did the pairing process again and now the buds connect in the same amount of time as my old phone (around 3-5 seconds from when i pull them out of the case) and seem to be working without stability issues, of course they dont use LE mode witch is a bit of a shame.

I really hope this can help someone else that finds this thread with the same issue, i'll keep the post updated if I notice anything weird. thanks again for the answers provided

Hello beautiful people,

I'm going crazy over the Bluetooth performance of my pixel 9... my buds 2 pro (that work perfectly with my old phone, Motorola edge 30) take AGES to auto connect, they drop quality and signal quite often, they desync between each other and just perform badly with my phone.

Google hardware support was actually super sweet, they suggested multiple fixes and when none worked they (no question asked) RMA my device and sent me a new one (wow!).

Sadly when the new device came the issue was still present, even worse! Sometimes it just refuses to use my buds even when they are connected, blasting what I'm listening to from the speakers.

Does anyone have the same issues? Do you have any advice? I contacted Google again but they said they finished all the option and offered another device (which I refused... At this point I don't think it's specifically my device that has issues)

My ""hardware"":

Pixel 9

Samsung buds pro 2

What happens:

-takes over 15 sec to auto connect

-signal drops causing stutters and desync

-automatically use speaker instead of buds when they are connected properly.

What I tried:

-re-pairing my buds

-reset wifi/Bluetooth settings

-deactivating LE mode

-messing a bit with Bluetooth developer settings

-changing my phone

-get a brand new pixel 9 over the one I already had

What I didn't try:

-changing buds

-??

Do you have any advice at all? Thank you so much in advance for your time. (Sorry for spelling issues, English is not my first language).

Well usual Bluetooth signal issues are from radiation like magnetron did you place earpieces to dangerous places?

Yes it does damage your devices with wireless connectivity not right away but degrades.

I'm jank tinkerer if it works then it works.

Regardless of compatibility 🐧🖖

not that i know of... i'm using my wireless charger more than usual with my buds pro, could that cause this issues? i mean, they are advertized for wireless charging. With my old phone they work decently too. thank you for you answer!

No I don't think wireless charger could cause issues since they are tested and probably within regulations.

It's possible that you have defective ear buds.

You could try connecting to different device like a laptop would that result same issues if so then that probably is indeed indication that you have defective earbuds.

Optionally you can try earbuds on different location and see if situation changes.

Hope that helps!
