I have just built my first pc 

 

I have the ASUS tuf 7900xtx which has 3 slots for power. My psu is the msi mag a850gl. This only comes with 2 6+2 pcie cables. What should I do?

You just combine the 6 with 2 to make an 8 pin connector, and plug it into the GPU, 1 connector will just leave hanging since it needs 3

Thats not correct.

It comes with 2x 2x6+2.
