$450 is a pretty tight budget for even a meh used system, unless you go ultra budget new parts are off the table.

What game/games are they trying to play?

Is $450 the total budget? Including tax and everything or is there some wiggle room? Only curious because PCpartpicker pricing is not the total price, it does not include tax.

They are trying to run some low demanding vr games and some flatscreen games. They also have 488 dollars but i thought i might add a little wiggle room. Also i have a power supply so maybe cut that out of the budget.

Can you be more specific with which games? Also what resolution they are trying to play at? With a maximum budget of $488 it may be best for you to look at used options on Facebook Marketplace or Ebay. If you find something that fits your budget and you want to know if it is a good deal you can post back here and we can take a look. $488 is just really low for a brand new custom gaming PC.

An option a lot of people do with such a low budget over just buying a console is purchasing an HP Prodesk, like a 10th Gen i5, 16GB Ram, 512GB Nvme off of ebay for around $200 to $250 then put a Radeon low profile GPU in it. I could link you some options if that is something you'd be interested in.

They are trying to run gta 5 and blade and socery both at 1080p. The parts also dont have to be completely new and i think having am4 might be decent for upgradeability.
