And if so why no one talking about this?  is this the mighty 5000 series talked up by the well known yt salesmen ala mlid, level1, etc, etc?

No, this has nothing to do with the puny gaming GPUs, this is related to the big data center chips.

oh ok that explains why the usual gaming outlets didn't talk about it (much)

 

that's interesting and actually kinda worse than if it was gaming gpus... on other hand maybe they can fix the issues,  but it does really sound like the intel 13th 14th gen issues a lot (aka fail)

Not really, it was just a production issue which delayed delivery, not really failure at the consumer's hand like it was for intel.
