I seem to getting a lot of WiFi related errors, in assetto corsa server lists won’t populate, Ubisoft connect sometimes doesn’t open and when it does I can’t sign in due to an internet connection issue, and more. But my WiFi is connected and is pulling 500mbps so I’m confused. I can use it for many different things like discord or online gaming with friends but sometimes when it comes to processes or services it doesn’t work. I can’t seem to find a common denominator amongst all this. It’s a bit random and confusing, I thought it was anti virus or firewall related but that wouldn’t make much sense as I have downloaded other stuff with no problem. And I turned them off to no success. If anyone has encountered a similar issue let me know 👍

Do you manage your wifi? Is your wifi using a custom DNS? Is there a pihole or anything that might be blocking specific URLs?

I’m with Sky WiFi, I don’t know alot about WiFi stuff. It’s definitely my pc though because I connected a vpn and now all the above problems have been fixed, so I’ve isolated it to that. Is there anything I can try, I’ve already changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 with no luck.

What is your NAT type? I faced issues when my NAT type was strict. Once my ISP shifted to Open all issues related to connection issues in game were gone.

How would i go about chechking that

Most games like COD, Forza show the NAT type in the lobby screen but you have to rely on your ISP's Modem admin page or word of your ISP for this information. There is no other way to check it. Also don't modify any router settings if you don't know what it does, I did this once and it broke my entire internet and I had to pay the ISP to mend it back.

Nah I had a look in the router settings and couldn’t find much, i did a reset of the router and it’s working now but I doubt it’ll last long as this happened before, if it happens again I’ll just contact Sky my ISP because I don’t wanna ruin it for my whole household. Thanks anyway I appreciate the help
