I think I just have a bad luck bios in this regard.

What's wrong with your current BIOS? I though RDNA2/3 vBIOS is encrypted and flashing them is very finicky?

So I got: Gpu-z, morepowertool, red bios editor and the flasing tool.

Problem is red bios editor doesn't work.

When I click load, it only lets me load .bios files. When I load either of my vbios copies, it says invalid. When I try to load the .mpt file with a .bios extension it also doesn't work unsurprisingly.

So step 3 isn't working. Has anyone had better luck?

I think I just have a bad luck bios in this regard.

CPU: Ryzen 5500 GPU: RX 6800 RAM: ddr4 3000Mhz 4x8GB  MOBO: MSI B450-A PRO Display: 4k120hz with freesync premium.

Red BIOS Editor only really works with RX 5000 series cards, not 6000 series cards like yours. While editing the BIOS file on a 6800 is technically possible, AMD did put checks in place for the actual BIOS files that the community has yet to figure out (I forget the exact reason why, I just know that there's some sort of signing process that AMD does), so while they're not technically encrypted you might as well treat them as such.

If you need to flash the BIOS on the card, you get one from TechPowerUp and flash that. If you want to edit the card's parameters, you use MPT and soft powerplay tables, not BIOS flashing.

Heavily obfuscated and encrypted bios and signature enforcement. You would need a hex editor to actually edit the bios to try and bypass stuff but I would not do that.

Lol, I feel you.

Can't you use MorePowerTool and increase the power limit via SPPT like Ronothan mentioned?

I think it only worked with old adrenalin drivers. not sure which most recent driver it still works with.

I did see the gpu jump to 250w on one game so idk
