new build advice

ASUS ROG Strix B650-A

AMD ryzen 7 7800x3d - dark rock pro 5 cooler

Nvidia 3060 12gb

Crucial Pro DDR5 6000MHz CL36 2x16gb

Corsair 3000D airflow

WD_BLACK SN770 x2

Seasonic 750w

 

this is the current build i'm running, I was wondering if I could have some advice on an upgrade path around the 7800x3d as ive been made aware that the build I have around it could be a big bottleneck in the future.

mostly I play elden ring, cs2 and WoW but if theres a new release that has a lot of hype I tend to try them out so I would like to keep a fairly good build with that in mind.

 

if there's any other info I could give to help making advice easier i'd be happy to give it

Yeah, get a better GPU.  Pretty simple.

Any in particular you would suggest at around maybe £600/$800 budget?

What resolution do you play in?  With that 3060, you may be 1440p but probably 1080p?

 

If 1440p, I would grab a 7900XT or 4070TI Super at the $700+ level depending on your preference for AMD or Nvidia.

will have a look at both and make a decision, appreciate your help been a massive headache for me trying to look over everything myself!

If you want to save a bit, get a 7900GRE as it's arguably the best bang/buck mid range card currently at $522.

 

Check out some comparison videos to determine if the upcharges are worth it for better cards.

I managed to find some pretty good deals on the 4070 ti supers on marketplace nearby me barring any issues with testing im going to go ahead with that as the 7900XT or 4070TI Super are around $1000 in the UK, if that doesnt work out I think ill go ahead with that suggestion of the 7900GRE as its well within the budget I have and from what ive been able to see will still be a significant jump in performance!

Where are you buying from?  The 7900XT is 630 or so for you...  or did you look at the 7900XTX?

possibly a markup on them atm as when I look on overclockers the cheapest is £680 and they are straight up not showing on amazon but seeing this ill actually look at shopping around more on these other sites, other than newegg(which ive had a bad experience with so I avoid) I wasnt aware the others existed.
