Hey everyone,

First-time poster here needing some guidance.

I understand the 14900k is an extremely hot CPU, I've got that. In the process of so-called optimizing my pc, I disabled my E-cores and locked my P-cores at 5.7. I've got the 14900k paired to a Lian Li GA II Trinity 360 AIO and during a cinabench r23 test, the 14900k is anchored at 100c. I've re-seated my cooler and added a new thermal paste. Are these temperatures normal?

According to Intel, yeah. They can handle up to 115 degrees Celsius. It's on the hotter side, as this Reddit post shows people with similar CPUs at lower temperatures under pressure. I was also questioning why you disabled your E-cores, but then I found this Hardforum post, which shows it somewhat improves performance, especially if you enable HT.

Don't tell me to upgrade. I would've done so if I could.

You could say. I have it running full rpm.

You could also try to repaste it with pretty high quality thermal paste, such as MX-4 or better. Outside of that, you really shouldn't worry. Plus, CineBench pushes the CPU to its absolute limit, which games don't really do.
