Hello LTT.

I am having a very strange problem with my computer, more specifically - My ram..

I have 4x 16gb 3600mhz (CMW16X4M2Z3600C18)

The issue is, that whenever i put all 4 in, my PC wont boot. It turns on, but no booting.

If I remove lets call them R1 and R2 the pc works with R3 and R4. But also if i remove R3 and R4 the pc will run with R1 and R2 with no issues.

I am not able to run with 3/4 rams, as it still wont boot.

How come all 4 ram wont work together, despite being the exact same types of ram? But if i put them in in pairs of 2, they will work.

Im very confused, please help, and tell me if you need additional info.

Thank you!!

What CPU do you have? AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is known to have memory channel issues. I haven't heard of both channels working seperately. Probably the CPU mainly if it's a Ryzen 5 3600 (X)

This is with xmp (or DOCP) enabled ? if yes, try without, at default settings

What do you call R1 ....R4 ? you're supposed to populate A2-B2 if running 2 sticks and A1-B1 if 4 sticks to activate dual channel.

Thank you for your answers.
To answer your questions:

intelamdallthemisnice: I have an Intel i9 9900k CPU.

Ieclod: When I put my ram in the mobo, I use A2 and B2 or A1 and B1. I know that it wont work with A1 and B2 only. XMP is disabled.

But to add more confusion (atleast for me) If i turn my PC off, put in all of my ram, my PC wont boot. If i take ram A1 and B1 out, the pc boots, and I can go into BIOS. When I'm in BIOS I can put the rest of my ram in, (all 32gb) bios will freeze, and I am able to restart my PC, and it will boot with all 32gb.
BUT, if I change the ram speed in BIOS, the pc wont boot with all 32. So right now I am running with 32gb, but the speed is only 2666 MT/s

Doesnt matter if I boot with ram in A1 and B1 or A2 and B2.
