Hello, I just got back from a week long vacation, my computer powered on but I can't open task manager. I also can't open msconfig.msc. Idle temps are 77 celcius now with capcut, chrome and a file upload, so  I don't want to interrupt my uploading. How can I fix it? Ryzen 5 4500 with Stock AMD cooler.

Sounds like a corrupted Windows Install to me. There are two things you can try.

One option is to open CMD with administrator, and type in "sfc /scannow". This will make Command Prompt look for corrupted Windows system files.

Another option is to simply reinstall Windows through a USB stick. This will wipe literally any and all broken Windows system files, at the cost of all of your data. So, you do need to back all of that up.

Don't tell me to upgrade. I would've done so if I could.

Looks like it did catch some corrupted files. Did it manage to repair task manager and msconfig.msc?

Nope! msconfig just showed the desktop icons on top of chrome for a few secs and then nothing, task manager is the same

Then it might be a broken Windows install.
