I'm playing Dragons Dogma 2 and im starting get CPU bottlenecks. So i was thinking on updgrading my cpu.

Problem is, my motherboard has LGA1200. So the question is, is 11 gen still worth as an updgrade? or should I get a new motherboard?

Also, I still have DDR4 and I was hoping to not have to buy new ram kits.

My specs are:

- GPU: 4070ti Asus Rog Strix

- CPU: i5-10400F

- PSU: EVGA 650W Gold

- RAM: 4x8gb DDR4 Kingston

- Motherboard: ASUS Z490-Plus

- Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S

Don't have a defined budget but was looking not to expend too much. Mostly on the fact that I have a DDR4 kits and getting a new mobo might mean having to updgrade to DDR5.

Sorry that a I can't define a real budget.

I was never a big fan of Rocket Lake seeing how those cpu's run hot. A B760 / B660 board would allow you to reuse your RAM. Otherwise look at a 11 gen i7.

No. Maybe you can get lucky and find a deal on an i7 10700K or an i9 10900K.
