Budget: 700 GBP£

Games: F1 21,22,23,24, Red Dead Redemption II, Sims 4, NFS (all games), Project Cars

Other details: I currently have a system I got in 2019, that hasn't been changed since I built it (https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/VLHyGP) , I am looking to stay on the AM4 platform till I physically have to buy a new computer.

Monitors: 1x Acer 100hz RL24HY but I am planning to own a 2nd one in future

Peripherals: Not needed

Why am I upgrading: This system is starting to feel slow, and the cycle of when I get a new one is every 5 years but I honestly know not a lot about computers

 

Anything I've forgotten please let me know! 🙂

Extra notes,

 

  • Your MB might need BIOS update before 5600 (but don't do it preamptively since it can drop support for your current CPU)
  • If you decide to go with the last option, remember complete re-install of Windows might be necessary (for potential instability reasons)

Make sure to update your board's bios before changing out the cpu.
