Could be related to literally anything to the OS. Assuming you're on Windows, have you tried running "sfc /scannow" in the Command Prompt with administrator? It might seem far-fetched, but it's always worth a shot.

Edit: Resetting CMOS might be helpful, too.

Don't tell me to upgrade. I would've done so if I could.

Yes, ive run a sfc/scannow, i havent dabelled with the CMOS yet, wary to attempt too much as this is a company computer, but there are some things i can tinker with, ill give the CMOS a shot when it happens again

HP's own support website suggests updating drivers and stuff as well. You've done so already, right?

Yeah, most combinations i could think of, and holding it down for any longer than i was doing forces shut down, which i usually end up having to do anyway

My last guess is trying a reinstall.

I have similar problem, where sometimes my PC won't wake up from sleep,

the fix might be in power settings or some similar settings that have the PC's sleep context.

c11 not that it matters since

its just some bare pcb jedec 1600c11

id try a cmos reset after saving bios settings or taking pics of all the menus but since this is a work computer might wanna try contacting the it department or whoever deals with configuring the computers at work

cmos reset maybe windows fixes and thats about it, id also add a restore point if you want to try the windows fixes so you can revert changes if neccesary

i mean i deal with ddr3 and i have some 1600 bin sticks just that theyre kinda worthless and dont clock high enough (3000+) though i guess i could do a re run of that cursed mix match triple channel albiet at 2800+ instead of a lousy 2656 =p
