can someone explain / help me

my friends from the AV club says that AMD is better for our AV and school video editing

 

so we've collected up some cash to get a Motherboard and a APU chip

 

is there any chip that can match a i5 4670K and a mobo thats about the same as a Z87 board

 

(sorry guys first time making a AMD build)

Depends what you're doing.

You could probably save some money by going with a 8320 and 970 chipset board for a mild oc.

we using it to editing for the sports meets vids and most school events and secretly do a little light gaming while the teachs arent looking

but mostly editing  school vids

Just get whichever is cheapest whether it be going with the 8320 or a e3-1230 v3 with a cheap 1150 board.
