i got to ssd in raid 0 right now, and they are ok but if i can get something faster i would, but dont really want to spend any money if its just a gimmick

Raid 0 SSDs should be plenty and you get the benefit of not having a volatile storage solution. I used some excess ram as a ramdisk before and while the numbers slapped my SSD around like no ones business, it wasn't very practical.

I used a RAM disc with BF3 a couple times. Load times were super fast compared to my Seagate harddrive. But if you already have Raid 0 SSDs its honestly not worth the trouble.

But if you really want to do it go ahead! Any 1600Mhz ram should be more than enough. I found that there was little difference between 1333mhz and 1600mhz ram. Just get the cheapest you can, RAM is expensive right now.
