Help unplugging HD Audio

Go to solution Solved by mariushm,

You should be able to just grab the heatshrink material (that round sleeve) around the cable and pull straight up. There's no locking mechanism or clip to lock the connector in place, it's like the USB 2.0 plugs.  You can do it with the pc working if you want, not a problem.

The capacitors and everything related to sound works at 5v or less, so even if those capacitors would be live (which they aren't), you wouldn't feel anything.

Hey, I bought a used PC with an Asus Z490-f and the front panel audio isn't working because the HD Audio / AAFP is plugged in incorrectly. I tried to unplug it by pulling on the "loose" part of the connector if that makes sense, but it feels like it's stuck there - How should I go about this? I'm a complete noob and a bit scared of breaking stuff.

Also, is it bad if I touch the capacitors right beside it? Tysm to anyone willing to help !!
