best gpu upgrade

I recently got a PC from a local tech shop and it just has Intel HD 4600 graphics on a core-i5 4430. I'm looking for the best gpu upgrade for some light gaming that's under $175. Right now I've been looking at the gtx 650, gtx 650 ti, gtx 750 and gtx 750 ti. Which one should I get? Should I go for the cheapest one or is it worth it spending more?

Generally it would be worth getting the 750 TI. but if you are not playing heavy duty games and just want a card for program acceleration it will depend on the programs.

System CPU : Ryzen 9 5950 doing whatever PBO lets it. Motherboard : Asus B550 Wifi II RAM 80GB 3600 CL 18 2x 32GB 2x 8GB GPUs Vega 56 & Tesla M40 Corsair 4000D Storage: many and varied small (512GB-1TB) SSD + 5TB WD Green PSU 1000W EVGA GOLD

You can trust me, I'm from the Internet.

EVGA's FTW GTX 750 Ti is something you can definitely take a look at.

Get a 270X on eBay.

Unless you get something like an XFX that will come with a second user warranty or something that is vendor approved refurbished I wouldn't; unless it was wicked cheap.

If you are dead set on getting something new than the 750 TI is hard to beat price to performance right now. While you would probably get along with something a little cheaper the headroom for new games or higher resolutions will be quite a bit lower. If your psu can Handel a card that needs 6 pin power and your willing to get uses or refurbished cards there are some amd cards that would be quite a bit more bang for the buck and give a little more hear room.

Alright, thanks guys for your help, I'll be going for the 750 ti. Any particular one you would like to suggest?

not the absolute fastest one out there but the customer support from EVGA is legendary

I am currently looking at an ASUS GTX 660 DC2 2GB for $169 post-rebate ($189 before rebate). I would recommend taking a look at it if you want more power, but I don't know if a 430watt psu is enough. Otherwise, I agree with the 750ti. The best under that category, I think, is the EVGA GTX 750 TI 2GB ACX FTW.
