AIO: H100I V2, upgrading to CPU: 5600x, no idea on AIO release date, I didn't assemble this pc or buy it new.

You will need to purchase additional bracket from Corsair.

If that no longer available, you most likely need a new cooler that supports AM4 socket

And btw, you don't really need an AIO to cool 5600x well.

I'd say just buy a good cheap air cooler, the heatsink lasts pretty much forever, the fans will stop working at some point but if the air cooler uses standard size fan and mounting, it can be replaced easily.

Unless you like the aesthetics AIO gives that is.

To keep this short; I have a i6700k with an AIO corsair cooler on it. I want to upgrade my cpu+mobo+ram. can I just mount the same cooler to the new setup or would I need a new bracket or something or would I need a new cooler ientirely

CPU : 5700x GPU : MSI GTX 1080

Depends on the AIO model & release date, and what CPU you are upgrading to
