dumb networking question

dont know if this is possible, but im just wondering

 

i am currently using ethernet on my pc

but would it be possible to add a wifi dongle to my pc and use both at the same time for an even greater internet speed?

The only possible way of achieving this, you will need to setup 2 routers/firewalls and create a bond connection. Depends on how your knowledge is, it may be a be tricky.. but there are resources online.

 

As mentioned, you can do it using physical or Virtual devices.

Install Wireshark on your pc, and go to view > network addresses.

 

Alternatively, opem Task Manager, go to performance and click the blue link

Go to the network tab there.

 

Either way, there is a significantly amount you can do to improve network perfornance.  You can setup a pi-hole to block ads or unwanted websites but could require too complex of a setup, requiring a virtual machine running Linux, (Debain / Ubuntu or Linux Mint for the nature wallpapers) and installing pi-hole to that machine.

 

Instead NextDNS.io is a much easier way to do this, using an online account you can configure what is blocked.

Browser extensions can also reduce the junk loading on a webpage.  Privacy Badger could help speed up website loading.
